At the heart of the system is the Doulton Ultracarb® cartridge with its three-stage filtration:
Outer Ceramic Shell: Made of proprietary Sterasyl® ceramic that filters out particulates, bacteria and cysts through submicron filtration. Silver inhibits microbial growth and has self-sterilising properties.
Inner Carbon Block: NSF-tested coconut shell carbon block absorbs chlorine, tastes/odours, chemicals and pesticides.
Ion Exchange Resin: Heavy metal removal media for the reduction of lead and other heavy metals.
This integrated cartridge reduces turbidity, pathogens, and contaminants through both mechanical filtration and adsorption for broad-spectrum water purification. It also effectively reduces PFOA and PFOS to below the stringent NSF 53 safety limit with results backed by an independent laboratory (see test report here).
